(a) On the advent wreath

On the advent wreath bright and green,
Four red candles can be seen,
The first says: Get ready for I am the sign
That it will soon be Christmas time.

On the advent wreath bright and green,
Four red candles can be seen.
The second says, we’ll sing once more,
The carols we sung the year before.

On the advent wreath bright and green,\
Four red candles can be seen.
The third says: what a sheer delight
To make Christmas stars colourful and bright.

On the advent wreath bright and green,
Four red candles can be seen.
The forth says: soon you will see,
The brightly shining Christmas tree.
